Dr. Ben Charlton was born in Austin and grew up near Elgin, Texas. He attended Southern Methodist University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and another BS in Mathematics. After graduation, Ben was working in Austin when a family friend suggested he visit Dr. John Bandy as a patient. Ben was so captivated by Dr. Bandy's uniquely comprehensive approach and extraordinary expertise in his practice of Chiropractic and Applied Kinesiology (AK) that Ben went home and began the application process to Chiropractic school that very afternoon.
Ben invested over three years in rigorous study of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and Orthopedics to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from Parker University. While at Parker, he also earned a BS in Anatomy and a BS in Health & Wellness. Ben served as the AK Club President teaching the technique about which he had become so passionate and sought out additional training via a 100-credit-hour certification course taught by the International College of Applied Kinesiology. Dr. Charlton became a Board Certified Doctor of Chiropractic and in July 2012 was accepted for a two-year associateship with his mentor, Dr. Bandy, who remains a dear friend and advisor.
Dr. Charlton has built a flourishing practice solely on the word of mouth and referrals by satisfied patients and healthcare professionals who understand the unique value of his holistic approach to health and wellness. Dr. Charlton is honored to commit his life's work to this pursuit of knowledge and service to others. His mission is to lead his patients to live healthier, vibrant, and balanced lives.
When not in the office, Dr. Charlton enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and exploring the outdoors. Dr. Charlton lives in Elgin with his wife, daughter, and two lovable, goofy dogs.
